This course is designed to assist in the development and training of newly hired and less experienced technicians in areas of landscape, tree care, lawn care, irrigation and other technicians interested in expanding their knowledge of plant health care. We will cover the basics of tree and shrub identification, by looking at habitat, bark development, and leaf margins, color, scent and shape. We will learn the proper approach to tree and shrub ID, and will also explore some trees and shrubs that are common in the Michigan landscapes. This course will help you become a better technician and landscaper through confidence and understanding of tree and shrub identification.
