This course is designed to assist in the development and training of newly hired and less experienced technicians in areas of landscape, tree care, lawn care, irrigation and other technicians interested in expanding their knowledge of pruning and tree felling.
Part 1 - Pruning:  This session will cover several different types of cuts and pruning techniques, shaping and deadwood pruning, while developing an understanding of the importance of equipment management and sterilization.  Hands-on practice will be offered; please bring your own hand pruners!
Part 2 - Fundamentals to Felling a Tree: This session will cover the different types of cuts, their uses, wedges and hinge wood, when to plunge cut and site set up, including exit routes and determining a tree's natural direction.
